Goodbye, 2020!
Despite facing many challenges, 2020 wasn't all bad thanks to you, our loyal customers. With your support, last year we were able to accomplish the following:
Our team grew to include two full-time Cellar members and numerous part-time Retail staff members.
In June, we partnered with Elmwood Park Zoo and donated $4,185 through purchases of commemorative wine to support their educational programs and projects.
In December, we partnered with Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association and raised $1,750 for the Hospitality Assistance Response of Pennsylvania (HARP) to ease the vast hardships faced by hospitality workers.
What's Next?
As we look forward to 2021 and new beginnings, we'll continue to deliver award-winning Pennsylvania wine and fan-favorite programs and events.
New Format for Wine Club
Since everything turned upside down in 2020, we figured it was time to reevaluate our Wine Club. In an effort to improve the member experience, we decided to make some changes that include:
- Moving from a quarterly release to a bi-annual release
- At home deliveries (excluding Delaware members, who will still pick up). Now, members will receive 6 bottles of wine in both March and September.
All value-added perks—like a free wine flight for members and their guest during onsite visits; exclusive discounts + early access programs—remain in place for the new Club. Check out complete details here.
Murder Mystery Goes Virtual
We're looking forward to debuting our Murder Mystery Nights in a whole new format with A Murder in Time: Virtual Murder Mystery.
After logging into Zoom on the night of the event, guests will learn more details about the case while hearing from a number of suspects. There will be opportunities to taste featured wines, interrogate the characters, and interact with one another. You can learn more about the plot and purchase an event pass here (but hurry, it's almost sold out!).
Cellar Happenings: Traditional Method Sparkling Sémillon
Our talented winemaking team is in the process of producing a traditional method sparkling wine! Using fruit grown at Historic Hopewell Vineyards, this small-batch vintage (only 88 cases!) has been bottled and will now undergo secondary fermentation and bottle aging. Stay tuned for more updates and information on our 2021 releases.
Thank you for being here as we navigate this new reality, glass by glass!
