Our Story

Here at Chaddsford Winery our goal is to make approachable, premium wines and share them in a casual, welcoming environment. Our iconic farmhouse and bank barn, both built in the 1800s, are quintessential examples of the Brandywine Valley’s rich history in agriculture. While our grapes are grown at several regional vineyards, all aspects of wine production – pressing, fermenting, barrel-aging, and bottling – are achieved onsite, within the thick stone walls of our cellar.  In September 2024, Chaddsford was purchased by the local Vinton family, founders and owners of New Jersey-based White Horse Winery, whose highly decorated portfolio includes four coveted New Jersey Governor’s Cups.  Benefitting from the Vinton’s innovation, passion for winemaking, and deep ties to the Brandywine community, Chaddsford will continue to build upon our four decades-long legacy.
